Giveaways courtesy of participating organizations will conclude the evening.Special thanks to KUHF 88.7 FM for their sponsorship of this event.
Stop by Caroline Collective’s table to do a quick craft project taken directly from one of our Craft Nights. Originally taught to us by Sarah Gabbart of Sew Crafty, we’ll teach you how to turn those pesky plastic bags into durable, sewable material by using stuff you already own at home. This project benefits It’s Cool 2 Care, a local organization helping kids help the community.
Here’s more info about Houston Young People for the Arts:
Houston Young People for the Arts (HYPA) is a committee of the Houston Downtown Alliance that aims to promote education of the visual and performance arts; to advance awareness of current events in the Houston art scene, particularly among young people; and to collaborate with governmental and not-for-profit organizations to achieve these goals.
From HYPA-tailored events to joint promotions with other organizations around the city, we provide Houston young professionals with a unique opportunity to view and participate in the burgeoning art landscape without emptying their pockets; meet other individuals with similar goals; and be able to support the art scene in its many forms.
