The Twelve Months of Coworking
January 8th, 2009 | by Matthew Wettergreen | Published in Caroline Updates, Features, News + Updates
Now that we’re firmly done with the 12 days of Christmas (link) Caroline would like to debut our plans for the programming and events that we’ve been hard at scheduling for the past month.
We’ve got a year-long plan for Caroline Collective, one that will demonstrate the strength of community while providing opportunities and forums for discussion that improve the businesses and lives of members and regular visitors to Caroline Collective. Each month has a theme and our programming will center around that theme, be it growing your business, building community, learning new skills or expanding horizons.
Being that this is the first month of the year and also a month of change with a new president’s inauguration just around the corner, the theme for January will be STARTING ANEW (or in bad latin, De Nova). This month we’ll be putting on programming that relates to concepts of change, starting fresh with your business and yourself and re-introducing some things and people at Caroline.
Along the lines of starting anew, why not consider stopping by Caroline more often. Why not consider joining Caroline as a member? We’ll be introducing our own economic stimulus package: Join Caroline for 3 months, starting in January, for $48.20 per month (4820 is our address). We’ll be doing a big post about this tomorrow announcing the terms of the plan and how you can contribute to Caroline. Keep it in your back pocket for now.
Looking forward to the year, we’ve put up a brief list of some of the initiatives we will be launching on this page. They include community volunteering opportunities, business classes, showcasing aspects of the community beyond your horizons and showcasing the great people and community that already exists at Caroline.
Over the course of January, we’ll be posting regularly about the benefits of working from Caroline and coworking in general. We’ll start tomorrow with a history of coworking.
