March Stimulus Initiatives

It’s no surprise that the number of privately employed individuals grows as global markets shrinks — and as the current economy continues to under-perform, Caroline Collective is dedicated to offering new and creative ways to assist small businesses, freelancers, moonlighters, non-profits, arts groups, students and the recently laid-off.
In March Caroline Collective will commence four new programs geared to getting those folks who have stepped out on their own (or have been pushed!) with the resources they need to make it in this current economy.
Bi-weekly Business Classes: Classes will be organized and provided by one of our newest members, Werkadoo on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month. Each session will feature a different topic useful for setting up and running an independent business such as resume workshops, business model planning, and goal projecting.
Moon-light Coworking. Due to popular demand Caroline Collective will open its doors to night-time coworking on Wednesday nights from 6pm to midnight, every other Wednesday will be held in conjunction with the Bi-weekly business classes.
Freelance Camp: On April 11th one of our newest members, Werkadoo will host Freelance Camp a Bar Camp style unconference focused on hearing and adressing the needs of Houston’s local freelance community. The event is free and open to all.
Pink Slip Special: Turn that dreaded pink-slip into something of value. If you’ve been recently laid off Caroline Collective wants to help you with a Free Lap-top Nomad membership for one month. Laptop Nomads have a guaranteed space in the North Coworking Space, Access to the conference room, and the option to host events at Caroline Collective.
We may not be able to individually change the economic landscape, but together we can forge new paths. See you at Caroline.
