What We Do Isn’t Secret: A 2011 PDM Block Preview opens at Caroline Collective on June 9th!
What We Do Isn’t Secret is a group exhibition grounded in traditional and digital photographic processes that departs into large format photography and installation work. It’s no secret the content is varied: interpretations of Plato’s Cave, eerie steampunk portraits influenced by Victorian photography, bmx culture, and others. While each artist pursues different objectives, the show retains a sense of unity through a shared medium.
What We Do Isn’t Secret is a photoextravaganza that introduces fifteen emerging Houston photographers: Jaime Aguirre, Melissa Baumann, Alonso Benitez, Robert Z. Easley, Bryan Forrester, Josh Garland, Danny Garska, Bri Holmes, Maggie Hooyman, Paris Jomadiao, Hannah Joseph-Alvarado, LeeAnn Lo, Katy McCormick, Alyssa Stephens, and Johnathon Tamayo.
Arrive hungry! The Green Seed Vegan food truck will be on site to serve cruelty-free food to our hungry patrons, so bring a little bit of cash to dine. Refreshments will also be available.
WHEN: July 9th 6-10PM
WHERE: 4820 Caroline, Houston 77004
HOW MUCH: Free!
- What We Do Isn’t Secret is curated by Shannon Duncan with the assistance of Ned Dodington and Geoff Smith, sponsored by C2 Creative, and hosted by Caroline Collective.
