Suite 101

Suite 101 is a comfortable 150sf office with a large window that looks into the courtyard. Delicious oak-filtered light pours into this space without getting irritatingly bright. PLUS, this space has built in storage for all of your office needs! That means more space to go uncluttered by your bookcases and file cabinets.

Suite 103

Suite 103 is of similar dimension and view to Suite 101 above, but trades the built in storage for extra floor space — reaching an ample 175sf. The walls are also a snazzy green!

Of course, when you join as an office member you get a lot more than just four walls. Office membership includes:

Our friends at the AIA Houston donated some funky green chairs to Caroline Collective! Not ones to pass up a quality hand-me-down, we’re excited and thankful to have this new fleet of chairs.

Vagabond gourmets from the Ladybird food truck will be serving lunch from 11a-2p every Tuesday outside of Caroline Collective! Look for their distinct schoolbus vehicle and delicious aroma. Ladybird can be found on other days at Lawndale, the Menil Collection, and Antidote Coffee. For an update on there they are, follow along on Facebook or Twitter.

We’ll closed to the general public the week of December 26th-30th for the holidays. We’ll be back January 2nd for a new year of coworking!

Caroline Collective will be closed to the general public on Thursday, November 24th and the following Friday for Thanksgiving.

Operations will resume as usual on Monday, November 28th. Have a great holiday!

Caroline Collective now hosts monthly Jellies!

Jellies are casual coworking events where people come together to work for the day. We provide chairs, wireless internet, and interesting people to talk to, collaborate with, and bounce ideas off of.

On the second Friday of every month we’ll waive the drop-in fee for coworking, so bring a friend or come by and make a few! A little change in scenery and socialization might be just the cure for your home-office blues, or perhaps it’s the catalyst in your next creative breakthrough. You’ll have to see it to find out.

Towards the end of the day things will slowly shift into the weekly office happy hour!

Dyan is a student pursuing a dual degree in Graphic Design and Photocommunications from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. She also has a high interest in film and animation, which she plans to study in graduate school. She loves music, cemeteries, and her two new kitties North + South. Dyan is a Houston native and is happy to be interning here for the summer. Please don’t feed her anything that isn’t raw food vegan friendly.

We’re glad to have Dyan around the collective, going to great lengths to make things look awesome.

OK guys, time for an intervention. Let’s stop this problem before it gets out of hand. Nip it in the bud, as they say.

This is the third day this week we’ve had donuts at the front desk. And today it’s not just one dozen, but two. We’ve got the jelly-filled, the chocolate-covered, the maple-glazed, (for the Canadians) and what have you. I believe use of the word plethora is justified.

While I appreciate the team-player-ness of bringing yummy snacks for your co-workers, this is not a good habit for us to get into. I mean, if you really cared for your co-workers, you’d bring us some bran muffins and wheatgrass shots.

So next week let’s start a new trend. Healthy snacks, everybody! Bring some quinoa, acai, and/or spirulina. As a basic rule of thumb: the less pronounceable it is, the healthier it is. The person who brings the healthiest snack will win the knowledge that all your co-workers will live just a little bit longer.
